Fashion Garments and Athleisure Garments for a Turkey based Clothing Brand

Our apparel manufacturing company worked on a project for a well-known fashion brand based in Turkey to produce a line of athleisure wear and fashion garments. The brand was exploring new avenues and needed an experienced partner to develop samples and bring their vision to life.

Challenges:

Lycra athleisure wear: The athleisure wear line incorporated SPANDEX fabric, which is known for its stretch and recovery properties. However, working with SPANDEX can be complex due to the fabric’s stretchiness, specialized equipment requirements, and design considerations. The fabric is sensitive to distortions in high temperatures and maintaining consistency of the cut is challenging as the fabric is stretchy to sew the fabric while preventing distortion, use stretch needles to prevent puckering, and consider the unique design elements such as cutouts and mesh panels. Additionally, quality control is essential to ensure that the stretch and recovery properties were maintained after washing and wearing.

Embellishments and accessories: The fashion garments included embellishments and accessories such as embroidery, beading, and sequins. These elements require precise placement and handling during the manufacturing process to ensure that they are incorporated seamlessly into the garment. Our team was able to deliver consistency across high quantities to achieve the the brand’s vision and quality standards.

Fibre Washes: The fashion garments also incorporated 20 different kinds of washes across different portfolios, an example of one such is acid washes, which require careful handling and processing to achieve the desired effect. The most important challenge of this technique is to create consistent results throughout the lot. Our team had to carefully monitor the process to ensure that the garments were not damaged or over-processed.

Results:

Despite the complex nature of the project, our team successfully developed and produced multiple samples for the brand’s athleisure wear and fashion garments. The final products met the brand’s vision and quality standards and were well-received by customers. By successfully collaborating with a fashion brand on a challenging product portfolio, we demonstrated our expertise and ability to work with complex materials and design elements.

Conclusion:

This collaboration with the fashion brand allowed us to showcase our ability to work with challenging product portfolios and materials such as SPANDEX, detailing of embellishments, and employ technique with various kinds of washes. It also allowed us to position ourselves as an organisation capable of handling complex projects while upholding the highest standards of quality and ethical manufacturing practices.
